How can I help?

Answers to the questions I hear most. If yours isn't here, send me an email and I'll get back to you.

Common questions

Is Albums free?

Yes. Browse your library as cover art, play whole albums, search, sort, and save up to 6 favorites, all for free. There's no limit on how often you swap your favorites out, so make room for whatever you're into right now.

The Deluxe Edition is for collectors. It adds unlimited favorites, album editing, album fixes, custom album art, and custom app icons. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

I bought Albums before version 2.0. Do I need to buy Deluxe?

No. Everyone who bought Albums before 2.0 is an early supporter and gets the Deluxe Edition's features automatically. Thank you for being here early.

How do I restore my Deluxe Edition purchase?

Open Settings in Albums, go to the Deluxe Edition screen, and tap Restore. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.

If Albums can't find your purchase, email me and I'll sort it out.

Why aren't my favorites syncing between devices?

Favorites, chosen covers, and album edits sync through iCloud between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. On each device, sign in to iCloud and turn on iCloud Drive in the Settings app.

You can check how syncing is going in Albums' Settings, under iCloud Sync.

Will editing an album change my Apple Music library?

No. Edits to titles, artists, genres, years, track numbers, and covers stay in Albums, so your Apple Music library is never changed. Clear a field to go back to your library's info.

Why does one of my albums show up as two?

Your library groups tracks into albums by their info, mostly the album name and the album artist. If even one track disagrees, it's split off into an album of its own. A missing album artist on a song with a guest feature, “Deluxe” on some tracks and “(Deluxe Edition)” on others, or a stray space is enough.

These mismatches creep in over time. Tracks arrive from different places (purchases, your own imports, Apple Music), albums get reissued and relicensed, and syncing your library between devices doesn't always keep every track's info in step.

With the Deluxe Edition, Album Fixes spots these and brings them back together in a tap, or all at once with Fix All. Fixes only change Albums, not your Music library. If you'd rather fix the tracks themselves, try giving every track the same Album and Album Artist in the Music app on a Mac.

Where are my singles and EPs?

Albums can hide singles and partial albums so only full records show. If some are missing, check the sort and filter menu above your albums.

Which devices does Albums work on?

iPhone, iPad, and iPhone Duo, running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.

Still need a hand?

Email me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. It helps to mention your device and its iOS version, and a screenshot is always welcome.
